Vans teaches how to skateboard
The sportswear fashion company, inspired in skateboard and surf, offers skateboarding classes that are free of charge and available for all ages in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.
Vans empowers itself through skateboarding. The sportswear fashion company, inspired in skateboard and surf, offers starting October 30 of this year, free of charge classes to learn how to skateboard. Lessons are available for all ages and take place in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, in the Vans Skatepark Sao Paulo.
Those interested in participating can enroll through the website or contacting directly the ambassadors of Vans Shoebox. Through an agreement with the government of the state of Sao Paulo, classes are given in collaboration with teachers from the skateboard park Cavepool in the city.
Skateboard classes are completely free, available for all ages and take place in the Vans Skatepark Sao Paulo
Classes take place every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for national holidays. Skateboards and all the necessary sports equipment to skateboard are available at the same skateboard park where classes take place. Under-age participants can also take part in the classes with the authorization of their parents or legal guardians.
Nowadays, Vans has more than 2.000 stores in 84 different countries. At the end of the third quarter of this year, the company’s net income was 649 million dollars. Since October of this year, the Brazilian shoe company Arezza&Co. is in charge of the distribution of Vans brand in Brazil.
