Pull&bear gains ground in athleisure through an alliance with Umbro
The chain from Inditex group launched its first sportswear collection in 2015. The company will sell a limited edition of UmbroXPull&Bear in selected stores of Spain and Portugal.
Pull&Bear is reinforced in athleisure. The young fashion chain from Inditex signed an alliance with Umbro to launch a limited edition of a collection that reinterprets, in an urban key, some designs of the British sportswear company.
The collection, named UmbroXPull&Bear, includes sweaters and T-shirts for man and woman, and is on sale at selected Pull&Bear stores in Spain and Portugal, as well as on its online platform.
Pull&Bear debuted in sports clothing in 2015 when it introduced a first collection to the market under the slogan Keep you on the go. Nowadays, the chain is the third from Inditex that reaches a revenue of 851 million euros in the first half of fiscal year 2018, standing only behind Zara and Bershka.
Inditex is reorganizing the offer of its young fashion chains to give more dynamism to the business
Pull&Bear’s collaboration with Umbro is part of the Inditex plan, based on the reorganization of its young fashion in order to give more dynamism to its business. In fact, part of the strategy involves making collaborations with other brands.
Umbro, on the other hand, belongs to the group Iconix, which acquired it in 2012, after paying 225 million dollars to Nike. In recent years, the company was associated with brands such as Patta, Vetements and Off White to launch capsule collections.
