The actress who played the character of Sandy Olsson in the 1978 movie will sell at auction over 500 pieces of clothing and articles that she has worn in the movies she starred throughout her entire film career. The auction will take place this weekend of November 2 and 3 at the auction house Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills.
The lot is estimated to go for 200,000 dollars, according to Julien’s Auctions. Among the garments at auction, there is the iconic black outfit, with leather jacket and pants, worn by Sandy Olsson as she sang the song You’re the One That I Want on Grease.
The funds raised will be destined to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute to carry out cancer research. The actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 and she is currently battling against this type of cancer for the third time.
