In January 2018, Gucci opened the restaurant Da Gucci Osteria inside the Gucci Garden in Florence. The space with a boutique, exhibition space and restaurant headed by three-Michelin-star chef Massimo Bottura.
Other fashion companies have already opened in-store eateries and pastry stores as part of a trend in the luxury industry. Some of them include Ralph Lauren with The Polo Bar, Prada with Pasticceria Marchesi, Tiffany&Co with The Blue Box Café and Burberry with Thomas’s.
