Woolrich triggers its expansion plan: for the United States and South Korea
The American outdoor company fortifies its presence with openings in key markets.
Woolrich activates its expansion plan. The outdoor fashion company, controlled by L-Gam since 2018, focuses its expansion on the US and Korean market.
The Italian company opened a flagship store in New York’s Soho in 2019, a region where it will continue to expand. It also centers on the Asian market, in which the company plans to open in Osaka, its fourth store in Japan, and enter the Korean market with a directly operated store.
Sales in the retail channel account for 35% of the total revenue, compared to 10% of total sales generated by the online channel. Woolrich possesses 25 stores in Europe, located in major cities such as Milan, Berlin, Munich or London.
This plan is led by Stefano Saccone, who joined the company last summer as its new CEO. The executive has extensive experience in the sector, and before signing for Woolrich was responsible for Vans in Europe.
