Tiffany hires former Barneys CEO. The American jewelry group has appointed Daniella Vitale, former chief executive officer of Barneys New York, as a new chief brand officer, a newly created position.
Vitale resigned from Barneys earlier this month, after the department stores group was sold to Authentic Brands. The executive will take on her new role at Tiffany starting December 1.
Tiffany will merge marketing and merchandising divisions under this new position
The executive will oversee the luxe jeweler’s merchandising and marketing functions. The until now responsible for this division, Pamela Cloud, will leave the company in July 2020.
Tiffany, that is in negotiations with LVMH for a potential sale, ended its fiscal year 2018 with sales of 4.4 billion dollars, up 6.5% from the previous year, and a profit of 586.4 million dollars.
