Salvatore Ferragamo promotes Paul Andrew to creative director
The designer joined the Italian luxury company in September 2016 and, since 2017, he was in charge of womenswear.
Salvatore Ferragamo reorganizes its creative leadership. The Italian luxury company has named Paul Anderson, now creative manager of womenswear, new brand creative director.
Andrew, who also has its own footwear brand, joined the group in September 2016 as head of the footwear line and, one year later, he took the reins of all the womenswear collection. Guillaume Meilland will continue to be in charge of the menswear collection.
This move takes place six months after Salvatore Ferragamo signed Micaela Le Divelec as new CEO. The executive has a long history in the sector after working at Kering for twenty years In the last few months, the group has also changed its financial management, naming Alessandro Cosi new CEO.
Salvatore Ferragamo closed 2018 with revenues down 3.4%, at 1.34 billion euros. The company now operates 409 directly-operated-stores and 263 points of sale including shop-in-shops and travel retail.
