Safilo grows 6.5% and increases sales in H1

Safilo at a double speed in the middle of its fiscal year. The Italian optic giant has closed its first half with drops of 246.7 million euros (273.9 million dollars), 49% more than in 2017, affected by the IFRS 16 leases norm.
Sales for the company, on the other hand have increased during the period, with a rise of 6.48%, up to 495.9 million euros (550.6 million dollars). Safilo’s ebitda rose 5.9% in the semester ended 30th of June, up to 29.2 million euros (32,4 million dollars).
By regions, Asia Pacific was the one with the best performance, with a rise of 33.7%. In Europe and North America, the revenue rised 2.6% and 7.8%, respectively.
