OBT gets stronger in Viktor&Rolf. The Italian group, owner of brands like Diesel and Maison Margiela, has increased up to 70% its shares in the Dutch fashion company. Up until now, the company had 51% of the shares since its incorporation in 2008.
This transaction happens in the context of investment strategies in other groups. Last June, the group acquired a minority stake in the American Amiri.
The Italian group closed 2018 with losses of 26 million euros (29 million dollars) due, in part, to the cease of operations estimated in 32.5 million euros (36.2 million dollars). Sales reduced 5.2%, up to 1.4 billion euros (1.6 billion dollars), compared to the 1.5 billion euros (1.7 billion dollars) last year.
