Levi Strauss Americas president appointed new CEO of Woolworths
Roy Bagattini will be replaced by Marc Rosen, who already heads the direct-to-consumer business. He will now supervise commercial operations in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and the rest of Latin America.
From the American king of denim to a retail giant from South Africa. Roy Bagattini, executive vice president and president of Levi Strauss Americas, has left the company to join South African group Woolworths as new chief executive officer.
Bagattini will be replaced by Marc Rosen, who already heads the direct-to-consumer business. He will lead the company’s commercial operations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and the rest of Latin America.
Woolworths is one of the largest retailers in South Africa, with revenues of 73 billion South African rand (5 billion dollars) in its latest fiscal year. The group operates the supermarket chain Woolworths and department stores David Jones, among others.
