The American company has registered a volume of business of 536.6 million dollars (476.7 million euros) in the first three months of exercise.

Guess grows 3% and reduces losses in first quarter 

 

Guess starts 2019 in a good shape. The fashion distribution American company, leaded since last February by Carlos Alberini, has concluded the first three months of exercise with losses worth 20.5 million dollars (18.2 million euros), against the red numbers of 27.2 million dollars (24.1 million euros) of the same period of previous exercise.

 

The company has also reduced the losses of its gross operating result (ebitda), until 23.2 million dollars (20.6 million euros). Guess billing, for its part, has increased 2.9% in the first three months, up to 536.6 million dollars (476.7 million euros).

 

By regions, America has been the territory where the company has registered a better evolution within the first quarter, with a rise of 5%, up to 222.6 million dollars (197.7 million euros).

 

In Europe, group’s sales have raised a 2.2%, until 210 million dollars (186.5 million euros), while in the Asian market the growth has been on 1.3%, up to 85.1 million dollars (75.6 million euros).
