Burberry, Hugo Boss and Kering were also among the best-in-class performers in this matter within the fashion sector.
Fashion passes again the Down Jones’ sustanability test. Moncler has been named the Industry Leader of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (Djsi) in the textiles, apparel, and luxury goods sector. This is the first time that the luxury outwear companie has been included in the index.
Adidas, Burberry, Hugo Boss and Kering are also among the best-in-class performers of the Djsi, together with big retailers like Inditex, H&M and Gap. The only new entry within the fashion sector was Moncler, while EssilorLuxottica has been excluded of the index.
Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index is based in the largest 2,5000 companies in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index. It covers the top 10% of these companies (about 300) in terms of economic, environmental, and asocial criteria.
